HoliMont Snowsports is seeking a passionate and experienced U14 Head Coach to lead the club’s U14 alpine race program. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop young athletes in a positive, competitive environment while fostering a lifelong love of ski racing and winter sports.
The U14 Head Coach will provide top notch competitive ski coaching to membership and guests. Head Coaches will work with Snowsports Manager and Departments to provide continuity and consistency across all programs while instilling a life-long love for winter sports in all. Successful Head Coaches will be ambassadors of HoliMont and HoliMont Snowsports. Snowsports Team Members collaborate with Management and Operations Staff to ensure a top-notch venue, events, and program offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach Skiing Fundamentals, Competition Techniques, and Tactics.
- Promote HoliMont and Snowsports.
- Build and Maintain Seasonal Training and Racing Schedule in line with athlete development.
- Oversee athletic development, progress, and tracking.
- Design, Install, and Maintain Competition Venue, Environments, Courses, and Protective Measures.
- Assist with Set up, operation, and tear down of competition events.
- Encourage and Assist Membership and Guests with Ski and Snowboard experience.
- Assist Snowsports, Rental, and Management with Guest Service.
- Attend Competition with athletes and families.
- Responsible for Daily and Weekly communications to athletes and families.
Qualifications
- US Ski & Snowboard (USSS) Certification or equivalent required.
- Snowsports Instruction or Coaching Experience Welcomed.
- Competition Background preferred.
- Winter Sports Enthusiast.
Requirements
Candidates should be willing and able to:
- Coach outdoors in all winter weather conditions.
- Fit and able to perform skiing or riding while assisting guests into equipment, loading and unloading chairlifts, and down the mountain.
- Some Lifting with assisting customers up and round the mountain.
- Skiing and Riding with Competition Equipment. i.e. gates, fencing, shovels, rakes, etc.
