Christoph Innerhofer, winner of three medals at the last World Championships, is taking a forced rest after a car crash in Italy.

Innerhofer said he was feeling discomfort in his back following a crash near Verona. According to the Italian Gazzetta, Innerhofer experienced dizziness as well as sustaining whiplash and a slightly displaced vertebra. He was ordered to take ten days off from training.

Innerhofer has some experience with back pain. Still he is hopeful of joining his teammates Aug. 24 for an Argentine training trip.
