Overview:
Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV) is seeking an Operations Manager to support our on-hill operations during the 2025–2026 winter season (Nov 1 – May 15). This is a hands-on role for someone who is reliable, organized, passionate about winter sports, and eager to take on new challenges in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily on-hill operations, ensuring safety and efficiency
  • Lift and carry equipment while skiing; ski at an advanced level without poles
  • Coordinate with staff to address operational needs promptly
  • Maintain attention to detail and uphold SSCV standards
  • Adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks based on need
  • Assist with events and problem-solving on the hill

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced skiing ability (without ski poles)
  • Available five days per week, including weekends
  • Experience with event operations preferred
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to use small power tools
  • Ability to adhere to SSCV policies and procedures

2. Technical Services Technician – Equipment & Tuning

Overview:
Ski & Snowboard Club Vail Technical Services is looking for a Technician for the 2025–26 season. This role focuses on the preparation, maintenance, and tuning of equipment for competitive athletes, providing hands-on experience and growth in high-level ski and snowboard technical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and tune equipment for Alpine, Freestyle, Freeski, and Snowboard programs
  • Inspect equipment and proactively plan work around training and competition schedules
  • Coordinate with Head Technician, Equipment Manager, athletes, and parents
  • Perform daily edge & wax work, both manually and with machines
  • Maintain machinery and inventory of consumables
  • Follow safety guidelines and best practice protocols

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of alpine skiing/snowboarding and competitive environments
  • Experience with ski and snowboard tuning machinery
  • Detail-oriented and committed to high-quality standards
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Work Schedule:

  • Mon–Fri: Flexible (approx. 30 hrs/week)
  • Sat: 3 PM – 8 PM (or until work completed)
  • Sun: Off
  • Schedule may vary based on workflow and training
