Due to new snowfall, the FIS has postponed today’s scheduled Lake Louise downhill. This is the story of the 2022=23 season. Nine of the eleven races planned have experienced cancelation or now a postponement.
The Lake Louise volunteers, Sled Dogs and Net Monkeys, fought a courageous battle to make the race possible, but, in the end, their efforts were not enough to make the slope safe enough to hold a competition.
Tomorrow’s scheduled Super-G will now be downhill. Sunday will remain a Super-G.
Although Lake Louise has more than enough snow to host the event, there is too much new snow to make it happen safely today.
Check here later for the new start list for tomorrow’s event.
