Lindsey Vonn goes Hollywood for ESPN Cover
Nine months after winning her first Olympic medal (a gold in the downhill) American ski racing powerhouse Lindsey Vonn is still front-and-center in the public eye.
After collecting a Glamour Women of the Year Award in early November, Vonn got dressed up for a cover shoot with ESPN the Magazine. She left the speed suit and helmet at home, opting for a Sharon Stone look for the magazine’s Movie Spectacular issue.
“In my last couple photo shoots, someone said I looked like Sharon Stone,” said Vonn from the set of the shoot, which recreated the legendary interrogation scene from the 1992 blockbuster. “My husband and I were thinking of which was a good Sharon Stone movie and Basic Instinct came up and it just seemed like it would work and here I am.”
The shoot was part of a feature in the upcoming issue, which will include photos of other athletes posing in classic movie scenes.
“I have to admit, when I put all this makeup on and my hair is all 80’s style and I got the white dress, I do look a little bit like Sharon Stone,” laughed Vonn.
Vonn will return to doing what she does best on the World Cup Tour Nov. 27 in a giant slalom in Aspen, Colo.
