Denver, CO (October 5, 2022) – Professional skier, filmmaker, and Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame inductee, Chris Anthony, is pleased to announce that his award-winning documentary Mission Mt. Mangart will be shown as part of a fundraiser on Thursday, November 3, at 6:30 pm at the Newman Center for Performing Arts on the University of Denver campus. The funds raised during the evening’s screening will go towards the Chris Anthony Youth Initiative Project, a non-profit that improves the quality of life for young people by introducing them to educational enrichment opportunities.

“The Newman Center fundraising event combines my three passions – filmmaking, skiing, and bridging youth to educational opportunities. My Youth Initiative Project is very close to my heart as it unites young people with the outdoors and nature. Being with these students out on the ski hill provides an experience that creates new memories and builds confidence,” said Chris Anthony, filmmaker, and professional skier. “I’m proud to share and tell this epic, historic skiing story. Everyone in Colorado who enjoys winter sports or outdoor activities can give thanks to the perseverance and accomplishments of the 10th Mountain Division.”

Mission Mt. Mangart was written, directed, edited, and produced by Chris Anthony, who also inspired the film’s original score in partnership with American composer Carlo Nicolau. It follows the U.S. Army’s legendary 10th Mountain Division’s story from its concept in 1939 to its final stand on the Yugoslavian border during World War II (WW2). While many books, films, and reports have recounted the 10th’s history,

Mission Mt. Mangart delves into the untold tales of the 10th, which Anthony brings back to life.
