Loveland Ski Club (LSC) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Age Class (U10–U14) Weekend Coach to join its coaching staff for the 2026–27 season. Based at 10,800 feet in the Colorado Rockies, LSC offers one of the longest and most consistent ski training seasons in North America, providing coaches with the opportunity to develop young athletes in a high-performance, athlete-centered environment.
Located at Loveland Ski Area, the non-profit club is dedicated to athlete development in a fun, safe, and professional setting that emphasizes skill progression, teamwork, and character. Position Overview
Loveland Ski Club is hiring an Age Class (U10–U14) Weekend Coach on a seasonal, daily-rate basis. The position focuses on coaching athletes ages 8–13 during weekend training sessions while helping them build strong skiing fundamentals, refine technique, and develop a lifelong passion for alpine skiing.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Implement training plans that match the abilities and goals of U10–U14 athletes while emphasizing both fundamental skills and advanced techniques.
- Provide guidance and mentorship that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Prepare athletes for local and regional competitions, including race-day coaching and strategy development.
- Maintain open communication with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches regarding schedules, expectations, and athlete progress.
- Ensure all training activities follow club protocols and provide a safe, healthy environment for participants.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Advanced skiing ability with a strong understanding of alpine racing techniques and tactics.
- Relevant coaching certifications (such as USSS) or the ability to obtain USSS Level 100 Alpine Coach certification upon hire.
- SafeSport, Heads Up Concussion Training, Background Check, First Aid, and CPR certifications (required for all coaching staff).
- Excellent communication and motivational skills with a passion for working with young athletes.
- Availability for Friday (1–4 p.m.), Saturday, and Sunday (8 a.m.–4 p.m.) throughout the season, November 7 through April 15, with flexibility for occasional additional events and meetings.

Compensation
Daily rate ranges from $155–$205, depending on experience. Typical work days are 7–9 hours.
