Men’s World Cup Finals Downhill Start List: Odermatt Clinches Globe Ahead of Kvitfjell Finale.
How and when to watch. In this article you will find the full men’s downhill start list, field analysis, season standings, and key contenders most likely to challenge for the podium.
The 2025–26 men’s World Cup downhill season concludes on Olympiabakken in Kvitfjell, Norway, where the sport’s fastest skiers will close out the year on one of downhill racing’s most complete tests.
The title, however, is already decided.
Marco Odermatt arrives at the World Cup Finals with his third consecutive downhill Crystal Globe secured, turning the final race into a fight for one last win rather than the overall title.

2nd 🇨🇭 Franjo von Allmen (SUI, 2001, Head) — −188
3rd 🇮🇹 Giovanni Franzoni (ITA, 2001) — −347
4th 🇮🇹 Dominik Paris (ITA, 1989, Nordica) — −353
5th 🇦🇹 Vincent Kriechmayr (AUT, 1991, Head) — −397

What makes Olympiabakken a true test?
The Olympiabakken speed track, built for the 1994 Lillehammer Olympic Winter Games, demands complete skiing. Long gliding sections reward strength and efficiency, while terrain changes force athletes to stay balanced while carrying speed.
On this track, the difference comes from how well skiers manage speed through terrain, not just how fast they are in a straight line.

The title is secured, but the race is not.
Odermatt sets the standard, yet von Allmen, Franzoni, Paris, and Kriechmayr have all shown they can win. With the strongest skiers starting together and nothing to hold back, expect athletes to push the limit on Olympiabakken in pursuit of the final downhill victory of the season.

Saturday’s downhill takes place on March 21st and begins at 5:45 a.m. EDT / 2:45 a.m. PDT. Fans in Great Britain can watch the race at 9:45
