BEND, OREGON – The Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation (MBSEF) is seeking full time seasonal Alpine Race Coaches to join its respected coaching team and vibrant community. These positions run from November through May, with the possibility of additional part time summer work for those who wish to continue their involvement year round. 

MBSEF is looking for coaches who want to invest in learning the program, collaborate with an experienced staff, and contribute to making it even stronger for the future. Candidates should be eager to become part of a close knit, motivated team and help athletes reach their personal best.

Ideal candidates will: 

● Have prior coaching experience 

● Hold a minimum USSS Level 100 certification (Level 200+ preferred) 

● Understand US Ski and Snowboard competition guidelines 

● Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a team first mindset 

● Maintain a clean driving record and be willing to drive team vehicles for training and events 

● Show enthusiasm for ongoing learning and professional growth 

Responsibilities include: 

● Leading and supporting on snow training sessions 

● Coaching at races and travel projects as assigned 

● Collaborating on training plans, travel logistics, and athlete goals 

● Providing constructive feedback to athletes 

● Communicating regularly with athletes and families 

● Supporting program operations and MBSEF hosted events 

● Serving as a mentor and positive role model for athletes 

This role is approximately 85 percent coaching and 15 percent planning and administrative work, with an average of 40 travel days per year.
