Park and pipe skier Tucker Perkins has signed an exclusive agreement with Nordica USA to use Nordica skis, boots and bindings through the 2010 season.
The 17-year-old Perkins had a breakthrough season in 2008 that concluded with him winning the super pipe and super hit competitions at the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Championships in Whistler.
“Nordica skis and boots performed extremely well in big air and pipe this past week in Whistler,” Perkins said of his equipment testing. “I am super stoked on the feel and performance of the new freeride boots, skis and bindings.”
“Tucker has a great work ethic and training program that make him extremely competitive. We are very motivated to have the best team of athletes,” said Matt Knittle, Nordica promotions and competition manager.
With the addition of Perkins, Nordica’s stable of freeride and park and pipe athletes also includes Peter Olenick, Stefan Thomas, Rory Bushfield and Shane McConkey.
