O+ GmbH is a pioneer in custom ski manufacturing with our flagship brand, ORIGINAL+. We are launching O+ Factory Racing in spring 2025 —a specialized program focused on manufacturing and distributing alpine racing skis with cutting-edge, performance-driven customization.
With a technology-driven approach, we match ski performance to the individual athlete’s biometric profile, emphasizing flex, torsion, and edge tuning within FIS-compliant specifications.
The Role
We are seeking a Professional Race Ski Technician with a strong ski racing background to lead our in house factory race tuning department. This critical role combines machine and manual tuning expertise with on-snow testing programs, ensuring the highest performance standards for our skis.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee race ski preparation, including base tuning, waxing, and edge finishing to competitive standards.
• Operate and maintain factory-level ski tuning machines and tools.
• Develop and document performance metrics for race tuning and testing.
• Lead on-snow testing programs to evaluate tuning performance and inform future developments. • collaborate with athletes, coaches, and engineers to refine tuning specifications.
• Provide technical support during races, camps, and test events as needed.
Who We’re Looking For
• proven experience as a ski technician in competitive alpine racing environments. • strong knowledge of ski preparation techniques, including base structures, edge bevels, and waxing strategies.
• hands-on experience with tuning machinery (automated and manual).
• ability to analyze ski performance metrics and translate findings into actionable tuning adjustments. • passion for ski racing and an interest in advancing ski performance through innovation. • excellent communication and leadership skills to direct internal processes and field testing teams. • preferred nationality: US or Canadian candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, reflecting the mentality and approach we value.
