While everyone’s racing to the polls this week, some lucky young Olympic hopefuls are racing around poles at a special training camp hosted by Spyder at the Copper Mountain resort, in Colorado. Dubbed the Speedfreaks program, the training sessions feature coaching by Jamaican Ski Team member Errol Kerr, and US Alpine greats Steve Nyman, Caitlin Ciccone and Daron Rahlves.
Spyder invited racers ages 11 to 14 who are at the top of their respective classes, and other athletes who were injured and lost their US Ski Team eligibility, but still want to make the 2010 Olympic Team. The camps began Sunday, November 2, and will run through Wednesday, November 5.
