The ladies’ Audi FIS Ski World Cup downhill scheduled in Rosa Khutor, Russia, for March 2, 2019, has been cancelled after unfavorable slope conditions prevented a training run from being conducted on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the race week. Rules dictate that a training run is required in order to contest a downhill race.

The ladies’ Audi FIS Ski World Cup super-G scheduled at the resort for Sunday, March 3, 2019, is now rescheduled for Saturday, March 2, 2019, starting at 10:30am LOC/8:30am CET. The course was set on the slope Friday morning before heavy snowfall once again settled in for the day. Forecasts are calling for approximately 30 centimeters of new snow from mid-day on Friday through early Saturday morning.

Additionally, the cancelled ladies’ Audi FIS Ski World Cup super-G from St. Anton, Austria, has also been rescheduled in Rosa Khutor for March 3, 2019, starting at 10:30am LOC/8:30am CET.

Race organizers, course crew, and officials are doing everything in their power to battle the unfortunate weather conditions and hold races in Rosa Khutor where the weather is expected to clear up by Sunday.
