Rossignol opens Mountain Center, announces corporate HQ restructuring{mosimage}Quiksilver Inc. has opened its new Mountain Center in Park City, Utah, and shuffled the corporate structure.
The new facility will house the North American headquarters for Rossignol, as well as various functions of the company’s existing snow brands, including Quiksilver, Roxy, DC, Lib Tech and Gnu.
The new headquarters in the Wasatch Mountains near Salt Lake City will bring together winter sports merchandising, product line management, sales and marketing, snowboard design, team management and customer service, previously located in multiple locations, into one central site with approximately 65 employees.
Bernard Mariette, Quiksilver’s president, said, “The opening of our new Mountain Center in Park City represents another key step in the Quiksilver Rossignol integration and underscores our commitment to become the global leader in the outdoor mountain market and related lifestyle. There is an incredible level of energy in Park City which is recognized as the heart of North America wintersports. We’re convinced the Mountain Center will enhance our brands and marketing efforts and create an even more focused and dynamic corporate culture. The entire team is completely energized and motivated, and we all remain committed to effectively executing our strategic plan.”
The Rossignol Group also announced the restructuring of its U.S. organization.
This restructuring will focus on the development of the organization’s business units and will capitalize on a new, collaborative organization supporting all of its brands. Effective June 1, Francois Goulet, president of the Rossignol Group North America, announced the following nominations:
– Jim Hunter named V.P. of operations and CFO for the Rossignol Group N.A., responsible for operations and customer relations supporting all business units of the Mountain Center.
-Ron Steele, named V.P. of sales and marketing for Rossignol alpine and nordic hard goods.
-Mike Kilchenstein named V.P. of sales and marketing for Roxy alpine.
-Dennis Gaspari named V.P. of sales and marketing for Dynastar-Lange.
-Steve Dudley named V.P. of communications and sports marketing.
Rossignol also announced back in February the hiring of Luke Edgar to oversee all sales and marketing responsibilities for Rossignol Snowboards N.A. Edgar will also oversee all commercial activities related to Mervin Manufacturing, which consists of the brands Lib Tech, Gnu and Bent Metal. The position of V.P. of sales and marketing, Rossignol softgoods, has yet to be filled.
According to Goulet, “The result of this new organization will bring increased operational efficiencies and better service to our customer base, spearheaded by a group of passionate employees that live and breathe the mountain culture. The new collaborative spirit at the Mountain Center will enhance our branding and marketing efforts and create a more focused and dynamic corporate culture. The entire team is incredibly energized and motivated and we all remain committed to achieve our strategic plan to become the leader in the outdoor market.”
