German ski racer Stefan Luitz has opted for the future-oriented cooperation with Völkl and is looking forward to the upcoming World Cup season: “From the first turn I felt extremely comfortable on the new material and the whole Völkl family also gives me strong support.” He currently races for the Global Racing Team in his discipline – giant slalom, and has already achieved ten podium results in the World Cup over the course of his racing career.
The Allgäu native celebrated his first World Cup podium finish in December 2012, when he secured second place at the Val-d’Isère giant slalom. Then, after suffering a torn cruciate ligament at the beginning of 2013, he surprised his fans with a comeback just a few months later and took third place again in the Val-d’Isère giant slalom. After further injury breaks, Luitz fought his way back again and again and showed strong performances in parallel competitions in particular, including second place in the parallel giant slalom in Alta Badia in December 2019. His latest major successes include the bronze medal in the team competition in February 2021 at the World Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo.

The Slovenian ski racer Stefan Hadalin will from now on also put his trust into the ski manufacturer from Straubing – Völkl. The 28-year-old competes for the Slovenian national team primarily in the disciplines of slalom and giant slalom as well as in Alpine combined. He has already won seven Slovenian championship titles and seven World Cup top-ten finishes. The two-time junior world champion’s biggest successes so far include the silver medal in Alpine combined at the 2019 World Championships, which was the first men’s medal for a Slovenian since 2001. A few days later, he finished on the World Cup podium for the first time in the Alpine combined in Bansko.
