COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colorado (November 27, 2025) — The men resume the Stifel Copper Cup on Friday, bringing World Cup giant slalom racing to the Rocky Mountains for a high-energy Olympic-season test on American snow. The race runs on the same Copper Mountain slope used for Thursday’s super-G, giving athletes a second day of speed, power, and risk-taking at altitude.

Reigning giant slalom champion Marco Odermatt headlines a deep international field, joined by proven GS specialists from France, Austria, Norway, and Italy. With the discipline packed with veterans and rising threats, Friday’s race should deliver the intensity and unpredictability that define early-season GS.

The Stifel U.S. Ski Team returns to home snow with momentum. River Radamus, who grew up just minutes away in Summit County, leads the American charge into one of the most meaningful early-season stops on the calendar. Canada’s Erik Read continues to anchor the North American effort as both nations look to capitalize on familiar conditions.

With the Olympic year adding urgency to every start, Friday’s two-run battle at Copper promises a full day of strong skiing, dynamic balance, and athletes pushing the limits of what’s possible in giant slalom.
