Summer Scene

This summer Ski Racing will follow the athletes as they play and train under the summer sun. SUMMER SCENE will highlight the happenings of everyone who's anyone — from veterans on the U.S. Ski Team to kids schussing up the USSA pipeline. What are some of the athletes up to? Find out here each Wednesday throughout the summer. SR editors Vanessa Pierce, Lara Rosenbaum and Sam Flickinger will show you that these athletes are more than just snow jocks.
Take freestyle skier Holt Haga, who likes to spend as much time as possible fly-fishing on Idaho rivers when he's not bashing bumps. Or alpiners Keely Kelleher and Hailey Duke, who are getting schooled in German for 10 days at Dartmouth so they can better navigate the European racing scene. And junior racer Hunter Schleper, who doubles as a stellar wakeboard competitor. There are motocross riders, mountain and road bikers, paddleboarders and golfers. What are you up to this summer?
