Sweden names 2016-17 national team
As training for the 2016-17 season begins, Sweden has named their national team, choosing a total of 18 ladies and 19 men divided into six different training groups to represent the country.
“We will have a clearer structure with three teams instead of two, in order to increase our capacity to carry out targeted training for all individuals,” said Alpine Director Tommy Eliasson Winter.
“We have thought a lot about how the arrangement will look for the coming season,” continued Head Alpine Women’s Coach Lars Melin. “To distribute skiers more evenly across the exercise groups compared with previous seasons, feels natural.”
