Liensberger Leads Flachau Night Slalom; Moltzan and Hurt Qualify
Austria’s Katharina Liensberger thrilled the home crowd during the first run of the Flachau night slalom, delivering a commanding performance to lead the standings. The race was not without surprises, as tour leader Zrinka Ljutić struggled and failed to qualify for the second run. Meanwhile, Paula Moltzan, AJ Hurt, and Nina O’Brien of the Stifel U.S. Ski Team, along with Canada’s Laurence St-Germain and Amelia Smart, secured spots in the top 30. Seven skiers with bibs above 30, including Italy’s Marta Rossetti and Japan’s Asa Ando, also advanced, setting the stage for an exciting second run.
