The Decline of U.S. Alpine Skiing at the World University Games: Can We Rebuild?

Despite having the strongest collegiate ski racing system in the world, the U.S. sent its smallest Alpine team in history to the 25th World University Games—while other nations, even those in crisis, secured full support. With student-athletes forced to cover their own costs, participation is dwindling, and without change, the U.S. may not have a team at the next Games. Do we walk away, or find a way to rebuild?
