Tim Longenecker leaves USCSA; league looks to fill administrative assistant position{mosimage}The U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association is looking for an administrative director. The former administrator, Tim Longenecker, ended his ten-year tenure last week.

Longenecker lives in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. ‘My involvement with the USCSA began more than 20 years ago,” he said. “So it is with some difficulty and sorrow that I resign from this position in order to pursue other opportunities.’

Longenecker’s involvement with the USCSA goes back to the early ‘80’s when he was competing in the league. (He competed at the 1980 Nationals.) He coached the Kutztown University ski team to a .638 record in 12 years, served as the President of the PA, WV and MD conference and had been a member of the USCSA Board of Directors prior 1995 when he was hired as the USCSA Administrative Director.

He will be spending his time developing his company, www.TPLenterpises.org. The company provides event productions, management/marketing services and website design.

‘I wish to thank all of you and the many others from past years, for the opportunities the USCSA and snowsports have given me, and all of the great memories,” Longnecker said. “It was great.”

The USCSA provides competitive and development opportunities for approximately 4,000 student athletes at 250 colleges across the country.

The administrative director has primary responsibility for the administrative, member service, event management, web site maintenance and development, marketing and communication functions of the organization.

The successful candidate will a self-starter with the skills and background necessary to manage these numerous responsibilities. Competitive snow sports experience is desirable. And the candidate could work from home.
