Waxing for Wet Slushy Spring Races
Late spring races can be daunting as the snow can be very wet, soft, and slow. In these conditions, wax simply makes the biggest difference. Waxing for these conditions is quite easy now, because we have developed the best products for these conditions, hands down.
Jet Liquid Yellow
Yellow is not only our best product for these conditions, but it’s the best product on the market, easily. For your final wax layer (all you need to do is apply it over a paraffin base layer or even on a bare ski if the skis are in great shape), spray Jet Liquid Yellow from tail to tip, taking about 3 seconds (with the black spray cap) total. Hold the spray can far enough from the ski so the spray pattern covers the entire width of the ski. Then just leave it — no brushing or polishing.
Assuming the skis are in reasonable condition, this will yield very good skis every time and will beat basically anyone else’s skis who do not have Jet Liquid Yellow on them. It’s simple and super effective!
