After receiving tests on Saturday, June 28, three members of the Italian women’s ski team tested positive for the coronavirus while training in Stelvio, Italy, according to Italy’s Race Magazine.

One coach demonstrated feverish symptoms and was taken to a hospital in Sondalo. An athlete and a second coach both tested positive but were asymptomatic.

The federation did not release the name of those who tested positive. AP News reports that the women’s World Cup team is set to return home to quarantine for the time being, while the rest of the teams will continue to train as usual.

The news of infection comes just before the Italian Ski Federation is set to make an announcement regarding the postponement of World Championships in Cortina 2021 on July 1.
