Updated Women’s World Cup Calendar Draft Includes Changes

The latest draft of the women’s 2026-27 Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup calendar includes several important revisions from the first version released earlier this spring, particularly across the speed schedule and late-season technical events.

Beaver Creek Expansion Highlights Early-Season Changes

One of the biggest updates comes at Beaver Creek, where organizers added a second women’s downhill on Dec. 11 ahead of the previously scheduled downhill on Dec. 12. The Super-G on Dec. 13 remains on the calendar, giving Beaver Creek a full three-race speed series.

France’s pre-Christmas night slalom also changed. The Dec. 22 women’s slalom previously assigned to Courchevel is now listed as “TBD” (to be determined), leaving the host venue unresolved in the current draft.

Austria’s traditional post-Christmas technical series also received a venue update. The Dec. 28-29 women’s giant slalom and slalom races were already scheduled for Austria in the original draft but did not yet have a host assigned. The revised version now lists Gosau as the official venue for those races.

January Speed Calendar Faces Uncertainty

The early January technical races in Flachau are now confirmed on the updated draft calendar after previously carrying uncertainty in earlier versions.

However, the women’s speed races originally scheduled for St. Anton — a downhill on Jan. 9 and Super-G on Jan. 10 — are now listed as “TBD” without even a country assignment attached to the events.

Lenzerheide Schedule Receives Major Overhaul

The February calendar also saw a reshuffling of disciplines in the revised draft.

Lenzerheide originally was scheduled to host two women’s downhills and one Super-G. The updated version removes both downhills entirely and instead lists two Super-G races on Feb. 20-21.

Soldeu Added To Late-Season Technical Schedule

Another late-season change affects the women’s technical schedule. Soldeu, Andorra, is now scheduled to host giant slalom and slalom races on March 6-7, replacing the Swedish venue that appeared on the original draft calendar for those dates.

Meanwhile, the two women’s downhills planned for Narvik, Norway, on March 12-13 remain on the calendar but are now listed as “TBC” (to be confirmed), signaling that the races remain planned but still require final confirmation.

What TBD and TBC Mean On The Current Draft

In the current draft, “TBD” indicates details such as a venue or organizer have not yet been determined, while “TBC” means the event is expected to happen as listed but still awaits formal confirmation.

Discipline Totals Remain Unchanged

Even with the venue and discipline changes, the discipline totals remain unchanged in the newest draft:

  • 9 downhills
  • 9 Super-Gs
  • 12 giant slaloms
  • 10 slaloms

The draft calendar still includes 40 total races across 20 resorts and remains subject to approval by the FIS Council.

Men’s updated-2026-27-fis-alpine-world-cup-calendar-draft

The latest draft of the men’s 2026-27 Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup calendar includes far fewer changes than the revised women’s schedule, with only two adjustments appearing in the newest version released by FIS.

Kranjska Gora Technical Weekend Moved Forward One Day

One of the updates affects the traditional men’s technical races in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.

The original draft calendar scheduled the giant slalom and slalom races for Jan. 3-4. In the revised version, those races are now scheduled one day earlier on Jan. 2-3.

Saalbach Replaces Courchevel For Late-February Speed Races

The other significant revision affects the late-February men’s speed series.

The original draft listed Courchevel, France, as the planned host for downhill and Super-G races on Feb. 27-28, although those events were marked “TBC” (to be confirmed).

In the updated calendar, those races are now officially assigned to Saalbach, Austria, on the same dates.

Discipline Totals Remain Unchanged

Despite the schedule adjustments, the discipline totals remain unchanged in the revised men’s draft calendar:

  • 10 downhills
  • 10 Super-Gs
  • 10 giant slaloms
  • 13 slaloms

Few Other Changes On Revised Men’s Draft

Unlike the women’s calendar, which saw several venue and discipline changes across multiple parts of the season, the men’s draft otherwise remains largely unchanged from the first version published by FIS.

The revised calendar still remains subject to final approval by the FIS Council.
