Wilhelmsen, Nordhoy secure masters world titles
Dennis Wilhelmsen (NO) traveled twice to Europe in the last month to hold his lead in the FIS Masters World Cup Class 4.
The world tour hosted events on three continents in the 2006-07 season and it all came down to the last day of competition in Austria, where Wilhelmsen tied with Austrians Paul Fuchs and Gottfried Ascher in season points, but the tiebreaker, most wins, gave the title to Wilhelmsen.

This is the first time in Masters World Cup history that an American took a globe in Group A (54 years and younger).
Anne Nordhoy (EA) won her third season title in Class 8, also in a tiebreaker won by first-place finishes. She raced in Chile, Canada and Italy. Knut Olberg (PN) and Bill Skinner (IM) also won globes for the season, but they were of the second-place variety. Still, it was the most overall season awards ever claimed by the United States on the FIS Masters World Cup tour.
Next year’s FIS Masters World Cup schedule will be in the 2008 Competition Guide.
