Inviting Front Range athletes and ski racers nationwide to explore a high-performance pathway

Winter Park, Colo. The Winter Park Competition Center (WPCC) will host a virtual information session on April 29 for athletes and families interested in its Alpine Full-Time Academy, a premier year-round training program for dedicated alpine ski racers pursuing regional and national competition.

The session is designed for middle school, high school, and post graduate athletes across Colorado’s Front Range, including Denver and Boulder, as well as competitors from across the United States considering relocation.

A High Performance Training Environment

WPCC’s Alpine Full-Time Academy is built for committed and experienced athletes, including those pursuing a post graduate pathway. The program delivers a comprehensive year-round approach that includes

  • 5 to 6 days per week of on snow training during the winter
  • Off season camps and conditioning
  • Individualized development within a team structure
  • Advanced technical and tactical progression
  • Mental performance and physical preparation

Training takes place at Winter Park Resort, which features homologated race venues and early season snowmaking to maximize training opportunities.


Balancing Academics and Athletics

Academic success is a core focus for school aged athletes, supported by flexible scheduling and online or alternative education options.

Post graduate athletes benefit from a fully immersive environment designed to accelerate development and competitive performance.

All athletes also take part in a year-round Sports Performance Program, including strength and conditioning, mental skills training, and ongoing fitness assessments.


Accessible Pathway for Colorado Athletes and Beyond

WPCC welcomes athletes from Denver Metro, Boulder, the Front Range, and across the United States.

For those considering relocation, housing options are available on a case by case basis, helping make full-time training at Winter Park accessible.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet coaches and program leadership, learn about training structure and competition pathways, and ask questions about academics, housing, and logistics.
