DENVER, Colo. February 2, 2024 – The World Pro Ski Tour (WPST) will return to Bear Valley Resort in California, February 16-18, for a weekend of professional ski races. The Bear Valley Tour stop will feature three professional dual slalom races (two Open Category and one Women’s race) throughout the weekend in the High Sierras.

“We are thrilled to continue our 2024 season at Bear Valley,” said Jon Franklin, CEO of the World Pro Ski Tour. “Bear Valley Resort is steeped in ski racing history, having hosted Pro races with Jean Claude Killy, Spider Sabich, and Pro-Ams with Hollywood celebrities, along with breeding top World Cup athletes, such as Lauberhorn winner Kyle Rasmussen.”

The WPST Bear Valley race weekend will feature three classic dual races, including both ‘Open Category’ races where men and women can race in the same bracket for the same prize money and one ‘Women’s Category’ race, exclusively for female competitors. Committed to race on the women’s side are four Team Sports Insurance athletes: four-time Olympian and 2023 Tour Champion Erin Mielzynski; 2022 Tour Champion Tuva Norbye; NCAA All-American Kaitlyn Harsch and World University Games competitor Tegan Wold. On the men’s side, expect to see Olympian and 2023 Tour Champ Simon Breitfuss-Kammerlander of Austria; FIS World Cup skier David Ketterer of Germany; California local World Cup racer and North American Cup winner Nick Cohee and other notables, including NCAA All-Americans and National Champions.
