Who is racing, when they are racing and how to watch the men’s and women’s World Championship parallel GS races.

Wednesday, February 15th Méribel will host the 2023 FIS Alpine World Championships men’s and women’s parallel competitions. The sixteen men and women competing qualified in Courchevel Tuesday evening. Consequently, based on those results, they have been seeded into the brackets.

The Stifel US Alpine Team qualified Nina O’Brien and River Radamus. Notably, parallel is no stranger to surprises and both US athletes have the ability to podium. However, no one in the race has an easy path to the finals.

Unfortunately one of the USA’s parallel stars, Paula Moltzan, broke her hand during her final run securing the mixed team parallel gold medal. She earned the maximum four points during the team event and provided the women’s time used in the gold medal tiebreaker. Moltzan had a brace made and is hoping to return, Goggia style, for both the GS and slalom. She is undoubtedly a force that is hard to stop.

The men’s and women’s parallel GS racing will begin at 7:00 am Eastern Time and 4:00 am on the West Coast. Remember, a live simulcast and full replay are available, with Steve Porino and Steve Schlanger announcing on Ski and Snowboard Live and a live simulcast on Peacock.
