Who is skiing, when and how to watch the Sunday, Aspen super-G

Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt has a commanding lead in the 2023 World Cup super-G standings. It would take a complete Odermatt collapse and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde averaging 74 points in the last two races for Odermatt not to win the season’s title. No one else even has a mathematical chance.

Expect Kilde to push right to his limit.

It appears the overnight lows will produce a good freeze and provide a fair race surface.

North American teams will start 12 athletes, Alpine Canada Alpin will start six, and the Stifel US Alpine Team will start six. Currently, the best-ranked North American male super-G skier is Canada’s James Crawford, 14th and the best-ranked Stifel US Alpine Team member is Ryan Cochran-Siegle, 20th.

At this time Crawford, Jeff Read, Cochran-Siegle and Brodie Seger are in a good position to be invited to the Soldue Andora World Cup finals men’s super-G
