The wind kept blowing, and fresh snow covered the tracks, which unfortunately got in the way of the men’s chance to take on the much anticipated Gran Becca course. Safety concerns ultimately led the Jury and Organizing Committee to cancel the race today. After several days of canceled training runs, there was still hope amongst the entire field, but the weather was predicted to be a challenge. Although the forecast is looking less than ideal for tomorrow, with moderate to light snow overnight, the crew is hoping that the wind lets up and allows the men to race.

In positive news, during the bib draw ceremony last night The Matterhorn Plaza came to life! Kids got to meet athletes they admire, cheers echoed, live music played, and the excitement was contagious! The crowd showed they are thrilled to watch the athletes take on the new course and will keep their fingers crossed for tomorrow.
