Alterra Mountain Company announced the appointment of David Flueck as Chief Customer Officer and President of Ikon Pass. With more than two decades of leadership experience in travel and hospitality, Flueck will oversee the company’s customer engagement strategy, as well as its sales, marketing, and communications functions across its portfolio of mountain destinations.

Flueck’s appointment reinforces Alterra Mountain Company’s commitment to delivering industry-leading hospitality experiences and strengthening connections between guests and their favorite mountain destinations. In his new role, he will guide the continued growth of Ikon Pass, Alterra’s flagship multi-destination ski and snowboard season pass, further solidifying its position as a leader in the global ski industry while expanding its reach as a gateway to year-round mountain adventure.

Most recently, Flueck served as Global Officer of Loyalty, Cards, and New Businesses at Marriott International. There, he created and led the Marriott Bonvoy™ loyalty program, which now serves more than 270 million travelers worldwide. He also developed a global loyalty ecosystem that includes 31 credit cards and more than 60 strategic partnerships. In addition, he spearheaded several new ventures, including Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors and Marriott Bonvoy Boutiques. Under his leadership, Marriott Bonvoy evolved through strategic partnerships and distinctive travel experiences, establishing itself as one of the world’s premier loyalty programs.
