French technical skier Adeline Baud suffered a torn ACL in her left knee during the Nations Team Event at World Cup Finals in Meribel, France. She was in attendance at the event solely to compete in the team event, as she finished the regular World Cup season ranked 27th in both slalom and GS.

The French team was eliminated in the quarterfinal round of the event.

“I was happy I to be part of the festivities in Meribel, but unfortunately it is the ACL in my left knee,” Baud posted on Facebook following the incident. “A third operation is hard for me to stomach. … Thank you to my fan club that made the trip to Meribel.”

Baud will undergo surgery on March 30 and will be out for at least six months following the procedure to repair the torn ligament.

She finished the 2014-15 season with her best career discipline and overall World Cup rankings, highlighted by a career best finish of ninth place in the Kuehtai giant slalom.
