Though Friday’s Downhill competition was canceled due to adverse weather conditions, course crews worked through the night to prepare optimal track conditions, especially considering the area received more than a foot of snow during the day.

Steady snow on Saturday saw a strong fan turnout by heartier souls, but crowd size nearly doubled for Sunday’s Super-G as clouds and snow gave way to blue skies and warmer temperatures.  Fans from young to older enjoyed watching their favorite teams and athletes compete for the races’ top spots.  In addition to the strong U.S. contingent, international visitors came to cheer for their countrymen enthusiastically.

Swiss Fans from Saint Gallen, Switzerland, made the long trip to cheer on Odermatt, Feuz, and Justin Murisier!
Members of Canada’s Women’s National Team were out in support of the men’s team and delighted to see Canada’s James Crawford finish an impressive 3rd place in Saturday’s Downhill.
