Daniel Noyes, the head alpine ski racing coach at Colby-Sawyer College for the past two seasons, will be stepping down as coach effective June 15 to pursue other interests. A search will begin immediately for a replacement.
DANIEL NOYES, the head alpine ski racing coach at Colby-Sawyer College for the past two seasons, will be stepping down as coach effective June 15 to become head alpine coach at Colby College. A search will begin immediately for a replacement.
“I would like to thank Colby-Sawyer for the opportunity they have given me here the past two seasons,” Noyes said. “Colby-Sawyer will always hold a special place in my heart. They gave me my first opportunity as a head coach and for that I am truly grateful.”
The Colby-Sawyer women's team finished this past season in second place in the McConnell Division, while the men's team finished fourth. At the USCSA Nationals in Winter Park, Colorado, the Colby-Sawyer women's team finished third overall, with a third place in the giant slalom and a fourth place in the slalom. The men's team finished in eighth place overall with a third place in the giant slalom and a 15th place finish in the slalom.
“We would like to thank Danny for his two years of hard work with our program,” Colby Athletic Director Debi Field McGrath said. “He has significantly enhanced the program and has positioned Colby-Sawyer to be a continued force in ski racing in New England. We wish Danny the best of luck in his future endeavors.”
