In the Skiing is Believing’s first coach’s corner episode, brought to you by Ski Racing Media, Alan and I had the privilege to welcome one of America’s greatest ski racing coaches, Sasha Rearick, to the podcast.
Sasha spoke to us about the importance of becoming a teacher before you can be a coach. It is the mindset that has carried him through his career and that he believes all coaches should have. He recounted some incredible stories, from his ten years of collaborating with the top male FIS World Cup racers in the USA to his current commendable efforts with the aspiring skiers of the impressive Apex2100 program.
Apex2100 offers young racers the chance to pursue their ski racing aspirations with top-tier coaches. Sasha also shared his answers to several quick-fire questions for the first episode of the Coach’s Corner Series, so stay tuned until the end to hear those.
