Working in partnerships

We are extremely proud to be an official FIS Development Programme Academy Partner. Additionally, a fundamental Apex philosophy is to build partnerships with key local stakeholders including Club des Sport Tignes and the Comité De Ski de Savoie, as well as with the Fédération Française de Ski. We are delighted to have already established strong partnerships with all three organizations, which will contribute to providing our U12, U14 and U16 skiers with access and opportunity to train and compete in the local / regional French pathway and succeed on the international stage. The FIS Level program is a strong, internationally-minded training and racing program within the FIS system. These skiers will also benefit from the training advantages our French partners will bring.

Academic Approach

The Apex 2100 International Ski Academy places the education center-stage. The education program is adapted to the busy training and race schedules of our athletes. A blended curriculum is delivered by a team of highly qualified, experienced teachers via a mix of online, face-to-face and small group lessons in our top specification classrooms and laboratories.

International Learning

Apex is currently an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. With international competition a key part of the Apex Programme, we are developing the use of the latest digital technology to ensure athletes thrive in academic studies no matter where in the world they are.

If athletes are preparing for a public exam, we will deliver the same syllabus in liaison with the host school to ensure that they have covered all the necessary curricula. If athletes are pre-public exams, they will follow the Apex Curriculum, which has been created in partnership with United Learning’s curriculum, which is used across the UK in its 50+ schools. All the learning material will be available to schools and parents via the Apex Hub.

The Mentor System

The care of the athletes whilst away from home is paramount and we place a huge emphasis on our Mentor system by which, in addition to the House Master, each athlete is given a Mentor to work with them through all the highs and lows of the ski season. The Mentor is in close contact with Parents through the season.
