After winning both speed globes on the 2015 Alpine World Cup circuit, Kjetil Jansrud and HEAD announced that their relationship will continue until at least 2018. The new deal will include Jansrud using HEAD skis, boots, bindings as well as helmet and goggles beyond the next Winter Olympic Games in 2018.

“I am thrilled to announce a new contract with HEAD that extends my cooperation with the best ski brand in the world for another three years. My stay within the HEAD family has been on going for five years already and the amount of professionalism and the quality of the people at HEAD, both racers and staff, made my decision an easy one,” said Jansrud. “Since I joined in 2010 I’ve come to know a group of people who are working hard every day – pushing every limit – to be successful. There are no coincidences in ski racing and I am very happy that HEAD wants me to be a part of a team that is breaking records every year.”

With Jansrud claiming seven of his total 10 career World Cup wins this season, on his way to both the downhill and super G globes, Rainer Salzgeber is pleased with the contract extension.

“Kjetil has become an absolute star in racing over the past two seasons with Olympic victory and World Cup wins. He is a unique character and one of the most influential personalities in our team. We look optimistically into the future with him on our team,” said the HEAD Racing Director.

Jansrud has 10 World Cup wins spread across downhill and super G plus 15 World Cup podiums. In the major championships, he won silver in the super combined at Vail-Beaver Creek in 2015. To add to this success, Jansrud has won a gold in super G and a bronze in downhill (Sochi) and a silver in giant slalom (Whistler) at the last two Olympic Games.
