BRASS Avalanche Foundation Welcomes Jimmy Krupka, American Ski Racer and Arc City Podcast Founder
The BRASS Avalanche Foundation proudly announces a new partnership with Jimmy Krupka, a prominent American ski racer and the founder of the popular Arc City Podcast.
Jimmy Krupka’s Journey in Ski Racing
A native of New England, Jimmy graduated from Green Mountain Valley School in 2016. He spent two years with the U.S. Development Team before joining the Dartmouth College ski team for a season. Jimmy later returned to the U.S. Ski Team, competing for three additional years. Last season, he raced on the World Cup circuit three times with the World Racing Academy (WRA) Team. Currently, Jimmy competes with the same team on the Europa Cup and NorAm circuits, working toward earning a World Cup spot.
Off the Slopes: Podcasting and Advocacy
Jimmy channels his creativity into podcasting and video editing when not racing or training, two of his greatest passions. His Arc City Podcast, featuring interviews with some of the sport’s top athletes, has become a must-listen for ski racing fans.
Jimmy’s connection to BRASS runs deep. His passion for avalanche safety stems from the tragic loss of Bryce Astle and Ronnie Berlack in Sölden, Austria. Jimmy was training in Austria then and remembers being advised by a local coach to avoid free skiing that day due to dangerous conditions—a decision that left a lasting impression.
A Shared Mission
Jimmy expressed his excitement about partnering with BRASS:
“It feels so good to have an organization on my helmet that I wholeheartedly believe in. BRASS is filling a critical gap in the sport, and I’m excited to help them in any way that I can.”
