After delaying the FIS snow control and hoping for a weather miracle to save the race, it did not happen. The continuing European climate challenges have caused the cancelation of the 2022 edition of the Lech-Zürs World Cup Parallel GS races.

This decision means the women have experienced four cancelations in a row—Sölden due to a storm and Zermatt-Cervinia and Lech-Zürs due to warm weather and lack of snow. The women will now hope to begin their season with two Slaloms in Levi, Finland. The races are scheduled on the 19th and 20th of November.
Fortunately, the men started their season as scheduled in Sölden. However, they have experienced three consecutive cancelations since the spectacular beginning.
The men are scheduled to resume racing with one downhill and two Super-Gs in Lake Louise, Canada. The Canadian series is scheduled for the 25th-27th of November.
