Michelle Gisin was diagnosed with Pfeiffer’s glandular fever, aka mononucleosis or mono. The disease made itself felt at the beginning of the month.
“I practiced my usual program and just noticed more and more that I have no energy and that I am extremely tired,” said the athlete from the Swiss national team.
Michelle Gisin has not been able to train for a good three weeks and has been going through ups and downs. “There are days when I lie flat in bed and don’t take a step.”
Gisin will have another check-up Thursday and hopes she can get back to training healthily as soon as possible.
