Middlebury put up a strong fight to garner a total of 842 points but in could not combat Dartmouth’s depth in all fields, producing a walloping 921 points at their home carnival.

Dartmouth’s most eventful moment came with the sweep of the Women’s podium in the 10k Skate race. Freshman Sophie Caldwell won, followed by Rosie Brennan and got the trifecta from Ida Sargent.
Triumphing on the men’s Nordic side was Simeon Hamilton. Close on his heels was University of Vermont skier Franz Bernstein. Hamilton’s teammate Tim Reynolds was not far off, netting third place in the collegiate standings.
Keeping in line with the winner list reading like a copy from yesterday, William Ford took first place for the University of New Hampshire in the men’s slalom. Following up Unversity of Vermont Skier David Donaldson who was able to gain enough time on first run winner Sean McNamara to bump McNamara to third place.
For the women Courtney Hammond again reigned supreme, confidently slicing through the slalom course. University of Vermont’s Megan Ryley was able to garner second but not the sought after win. Another Catamount completed the top three standings as Jilyne McDonald laid down a strong run to take third.
For the team standings Middlebury was the remarkable standout for the weekend, producing a solid second place finish with 842 points to bump University of Vermont and University of New Hampshire to third and fourth places with 779 and 713 points respectively. Williams narrowly took fifth place with a total of 575.0 points, bumping Bates, 574.5 points, into sixth by only half a point.
