The Italian Federation has released the names of the 2022/23 Women’s World Cup team. There are nine amazing athletes.

This past season only one women’s program has a claim to multiple globe winners. Congratulations to the Italian women. It is quite an accomplishment.

Sofia Goggia claimed the downhill event title, while Federica Brignone claimed the same in super-G. If you include the strong performances of Marta Bassino and Elena Curtoni, the team had four rockets that finished inside the top 15 overall in the 2022 FIS Alpine World Cup. Add Nadia Delago to the list, and the group had five women who finished the season top 10 in an event.

Indeed, this is a team with the potential to bring home multiple medals from the 2023 FIS World Championships in France.

One of the multiple Italian police teams or the army employs all the women on the World Cup team.
