Bridgton, Maine — Pleasant Mountain Race Team (PMRT), a grassroots alpine racing program based at Pleasant Mountain, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated coaches to join its growing coaching staff for the 2026/27 season.
With enrollment expected to increase by approximately 30% next winter, PMRT is hiring multiple coaches to support athletes across its U8 through U16+ programs. The club is known for fostering a positive, athlete-centered environment built on strong community values and a passion for alpine ski racing.
Ideal Candidates Will:
- Be enthusiastic about working with children and young adults
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and fun environment that encourages athlete growth and a lifelong love of skiing
- Possess a strong understanding of modern alpine ski technique and tactics, with the ability to communicate concepts in age-appropriate ways
- Provide structured feedback, motivation, and positive reinforcement to support athlete development
- Address athlete behavior and injury situations in accordance with PMRT and U.S. Ski & Snowboard guidelines
- Demonstrate an understanding of U.S. Ski & Snowboard athlete development and coaching methodologies
- Be available for weekend training, holiday camps, and travel throughout the season
Education & Certification
Coaches must complete SafeSport, Coaching Her, and U.S. Ski & Snowboard Level 100 certification requirements, at minimum, during their first season with the club.
Compensation
PMRT offers competitive wages, coaching membership dues coverage, education reimbursement, and travel expense support. Coaches holding Level 100, Level 200, or higher certifications will be compensated at rates commensurate with their experience and qualifications.
