Marco Odermatt claimed his 50th career World Cup victory and fifth win of the season in Thursday’s Val Gardena sprint downhill. Switzerland went 1–2, while Italy thrilled the home crowd by placing four skiers inside the top 10 amid fog delays, dramatic crashes, and standout high-bib performances.

Italy’s Mattia Casse claimed his first World Cup victory in the Val Gardena / Gröden super-G, edging Jared Goldberg of the U.S. by just 0.01 seconds. Casse celebrated his milestone win at the same venue where he earned his first podium two years ago, crediting his love for the slope and conditions. Goldberg, fired up after his career-best finish, delivered the U.S. men’s first podium of the season, while pre-race favorite Marco Odermatt of Switzerland rounded out the top three.
