For more than 40 years, the building at 200 Oak Street has stood as a cornerstone of Canadian alpine ski development. As the longtime home of the National Ski Academy (NSA), it has shaped generations of student-athletes who learned to dream big, train with discipline, and pursue excellence both academically and on snow.

That legacy continues — and now, the National Ski Academy is entering a bold new era.

Following a planned pause for the 2025–2026 season, the Academy has completed a comprehensive organizational and financial review and is relaunching with renewed clarity, purpose, and a strong vision for the future of high-performance ski development in Canada.

As part of this relaunch, the National Ski Academy has opened the search for an Athletic Program Director / Head Coach, a key leadership role responsible for setting the standard for performance, athlete development, and competitive excellence within the program.

During the recruitment process, Jürg Gfeller will serve as Interim Athletic Director, supporting the ongoing development of the athletic program and ensuring a smooth and thoughtful transition as the Academy prepares to welcome its next Head Coach.

In parallel with leadership recruitment, the National Ski Academy is also actively recruiting student-athletes for the 2026–2027 season. The program is seeking motivated young competitors ready to commit to a high-performance environment that values discipline, growth, balance, and long-term athlete development.

For decades, the National Ski Academy has been a place where athletes pushed boundaries, built character, and prepared for life through sport. That tradition remains at the heart of the Academy’s future.

This is the next chapter of the National Ski Academy — rebuilt, renewed, and ready for the future.
