The United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) will host its 47th annual U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard National Championships from March 9–14, 2026 in Lake Placid, New York.
More than 650 collegiate athletes will compete across alpine, nordic, snowboard, and freeski disciplines in the historic Olympic town that hosted the 1932 and 1980 Winter Games.
The five-day championship will bring together teams from over 65 colleges and universities across the United States, with athletes qualifying through conference competitions and six regional championships held earlier this winter.
USCSA remains unique among ski and snowboard organizations in that teams—not just individuals—qualify and compete in postseason championships, emphasizing team scoring rather than the traditional World Cup-style individual format. This system allows more athletes to participate in national competition.
This year’s championship fields include approximately 290 alpine athletes, 200 snowboard and freeski athletes, and 150 nordic athletes.
“I am excited and proud of the more than 650 college athletes attending this year’s National Championships in Lake Placid,” said USCSA President Bo Bigelow. “Each season our athletes continue to push themselves and raise the caliber of competition, strengthening our organization and reinforcing our place as the largest collegiate snowsports organization in the United States.”
Broadcast Coverage
Beginning March 10, veteran commentator Scott “Boss” Hogg will lead the USCSA Broadcast Team, delivering more than 22 hours of live, multi-camera HD coverage of the championships. Daily awards ceremonies and the final awards presentation will also be broadcast.
