Giro

Giro Sport Design develops new ideas to enhance the ride. Since creating the first lightweight, high-performance helmets for cycling and snowsports, Giro has focused on products that enhance the sensations of freedom and independence that bring riding to life. As the leader in the design, fit, and engineering of products that complement the body, Giro is the first choice of riders and racers worldwide.

One such product that racers choose is the new Signes Spherical helmet. Giro designed this unisex ski race product for alpine racers looking for a comfortable, low-profile helmet. The Signes Spherical’s modern hard-shell construction screams style and speed from the outside. On the inside, the helmet utilizes Spherical technology, powered by MIPS, which helps redirect impact forces away from the head in the event of a crash. The addition of IONIC+ anti-microbial padding helps keep bacteria and odor at bay. Giro has equipped the Signes helmet with a removable chin bar, goggle retainer, and ear pads for extra adaptability. It’s also lightweight at just 735 grams and adheres to CE EN1077 Class A FIS RH13 specifications.

The Signes helmet will be available starting in Fall ’22 from your local Giro retailer and www.giro.com.

Product Information:

Thanks to our Generations development philosophy of pairing former World Cup racers with fast-skiing kids, in the last 2 seasons we have re-vamped our junior level racing skis, SL and GS in all sizes. Models in each discipline feature a softer torsional flex in the tip, resulting in easier initiation for faster times. In addition, the constructions and radii are customized as the skier moves up the size curve, for a more appropriate setup in each length.

The junior ski lengths used by U14s pair with the DRS World Cup boot in the Extra Soft (XS) flex for a winning combination. In our U16 model GS skis, the Racetiger GS Race Stock in 183 (25m) and 188 (27m) lengths are brand new, featuring updated flexes and our Tailored Carbon technology in the tip. Tailored Carbon uses carbon stringers inlaid into the fiberglass in a diamond-shaped pattern to give the skis better tip contact, damping, and turn initiation.
