McGrath Leads Wild Gurgl Slalom as High-Bib Skiers Surge Into Contention
The first run in Gurgl delivered one of the tightest slalom leaderboards in years. Atle Lie McGrath leads, while Tanguy Nef and Edvard Hallberg share second and seven high-bib skiers — including Austria’s Simon Rueland — crashed into the top 30. Britain qualified two for the afternoon, but no North Americans made the cut.
