Sugar Bowl Academy (SBA) continues to solidify its reputation as a premier development program in North American alpine skiing, with multiple athletes delivering standout performances during the 2026 season and at the U.S. Alpine National Championships in Vail.

Leading the charge, SBA athletes Jack Schrady, Porter Sullivan, and Mattias Wilson currently rank second, third, and fifth, respectively, in FIS slalom points among U.S. athletes born in 2006—an impressive marker of depth within the program. Schrady and Sullivan are both SBA graduates, while Wilson joined the team this season as part of the postgraduate program.

Schrady capped his season with a breakthrough performance at Nationals, finishing fifth overall in giant slalom and earning Best Junior honors. Competing against a field that included current U.S. Ski Team athletes and Olympians, Schrady also placed third among American competitors. His season results reflect consistency across disciplines, highlighted by 23.20 FIS points in slalom and 26.46 in giant slalom.

Wilson, 19, has also taken a significant step forward, meeting nomination criteria for the 2026–27 U.S. Ski & Snowboard Alpine Team. His season included multiple top-10 finishes across all four disciplines, underscoring his versatility. Notably, Wilson placed seventh in super-G at the FIS Junior World Ski Championships in Narvik. His current FIS points stand at 29.44 (downhill), 26.96 (slalom), 47.44 (giant slalom), and 44.34 (super-G).

“We are incredibly proud of both Jack and Mattias and their accomplishments this season,” said SBA Athletic Director Branko Zagar. “These results reflect the discipline, commitment, and training needed to excel at this level. We are excited for them and look forward to watching them continue to grow in their skiing careers.”

The success of SBA’s men’s program is supported by an experienced coaching staff. Head Coach Matilda Sola brings extensive international experience, having coached on the World Cup and European Cup circuits with the Croatian national team. Postgraduate Head Coach Matej Vidovic, a former World Cup athlete and Olympian, adds further depth with victories in both European Cup and NorAm slalom.

With a growing list of athletes achieving national and international success, Sugar Bowl Academy continues to play a key role in developing the next generation of U.S. Ski Team talent.
