Austria Racing Camps

Founded by Hugo Nindl in 1975, Austria Racing Camps (ARC) offers highly professional ski race training for racers of all ages and abilities.

Our camps began at Hintertux Glacier, Austria, which remains our Home Base for our Summer and Fall training camps. During the Winter, we train in Kühtai, Austria, and throughout the year we also run camps in El Colorado, Chile, as well as selected indoor snow domes in Germany.

We are proud to work with athletes from all over the world, with busy weeks bringing together racers from as many as 28 different nationalities.

Supporting Your Skiing Journey

Our aim is to support every athlete on their individual road to skiing success.

Some athletes join us regularly throughout the year, while others come for a week between races and club training. Some spend their school holidays with us, while others choose to train with ARC for the entire season.

Our training programme includes:

  • Spring: Technical free skiing and drills
  • Summer Glacier: Restarting into gate training after the previous winter
  • Indoor snow dome: Focused slalom training in the snow domes in Germany,..
  • Winter, Southern Hemisphere: Taking advantage of the winter season south of the Equator
  • Pre-season Glacier: Glacier training to prepare for the winter ahead
  • Winter: Daily training focused on preparation for races and competitions

Whatever your schedule or goals, we aim to provide the right training environment at the right time of year.

The Full ARC Package

For all our athletes — and especially those who join us for an extended period or the full season — we can offer support both on and off the slope.

This includes:

  • Supervised accommodation: We offer supervised living in all our locations for athletes travelling without their parents. We can also advise on suitable hotels and apartments for those looking for alternative accommodation.
  • Season planning: We can help with training schedules and season planning to make the most of your time on snow.
  • Athletic coaching: Athletes can work with our athletic coach to create an individual programme that fits around their ski training. Training sessions can be arranged both on site and at our gym facilities.

ARC FIS Team

Alongside our Elite Camp Programme, we also have an ARC FIS Team, with athletes training and racing together throughout the season.

Joining the FIS Team is flexible. Athletes can be part of the programme for a few weeks, several months, or the entire season, depending on their individual needs and goals.

Our FIS Head Coach is responsible for organising the training blocks and planning the race calendar. Together with the coaching team, they select races that best suit each athlete’s development and objectives.

Depending on the programme, athletes may travel to races together, attend different races with different coaches, or remain in training while teammates compete. At times, one coach will stay behind to continue training with athletes who are not yet ready to race, while the other coaches travel to competitions.

This flexibility allows us to adapt our programme to each athlete and provide the support they need at every stage of their development.

More Than Ski Training

At ARC, we believe coaching is about more than simply improving technique or preparing for the next race.

We want our athletes to feel that they are part of the ARC family — a community where athletes and coaches train together, support one another and share the same passion for skiing.

Our goal is to build strong relationships with our athletes and to work together not just for one season, but for many years to come.
